You’re new to mapping and wish to communicate on your projects or share information via a web map? You feel lost confronted with the various online existing tools and don’t know which one to turn to?

Take a look at our short benchmarking on the main online mapping solutions for beginners, in order to make a choice adapted to your expectations and abilities.

The four pre-selected tools were :

  • GoGoCarto
  • Ushahidi
  • uMap
  • Google My Maps

This benchmarking will give you an overview of the main advantages and disadvantages of each of these tools in order to guide your decision.

This study was carried out jointly by a group of CartONG permanent staff and volunteers.
