When collecting someone’s data to help them find a missing loved one, he or she has the right to transparency about what will happen to that data. This is explained in an ‘information notice’. This poster highlights key elements of the information notice, targeting individuals who approach the ICRC for tracing purposes. It is intended for use by ICRC Delegations.

The development of this poster is in line with the new Data Protection Template and Information Notice which were elaborated by the Application Group to ensure the compliance of the Family Links Network with the RFL Code of Conduct on data protection (2015), the RFL Strategy 2020-2025 and the Resolution 4 on data protection adopted in December 2019 during the International Conference.
