The Sphere Handbook for humanitarian response

The Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response – commonly known as The Sphere Handbook – is designed to be a universal resource for those providing life-saving humanitarian aid in crisis response. The Handbook provides a practical translation of Sphere’s two core beliefs: 1) People who are affected by disaster or conflict have a right to a life with dignity and, therefore, a right to assistance; and 2) Related to these rights, all possible steps should be taken to alleviate human suffering arising out of disaster or conflict.
